Using the maxiDoc in Practice
The maxiDoc can be configured by using a separate software that enables writing on the maxiDoc, for which the physician obtains a licence by registering his name or his medical practice with us.
After the initial input of patient information (name of the insured, address and relevant emergency information, as well as a photo of the patient, taken once with a digital camera), the physician can enter all significant diagnostic findings in a password-protected sector on the maxiDoc.
Once this data is saved on the maxiDoc, it cannot be changed anymore later on.
The personal emergency information is openly available and can be accessed even while the emergency patient is not conscious.
Thus, the maxiDoc guarantees an as effective and safe treatment as possible. The physician knows immediately about drug intolerances, vaccine status, blood group etc.
Access to a different sector of the maxiDoc is only granted to medical personnel possessing the password. It will not be possible for patients to save data on the maxiDoc. This minimizes the risk of viruses, Trojans and other malware being unintentionally transferred to the stick, or from there via the maxiDoc into a practice's IT system.
